The Box Hill Hawks will make their awaited return to Box Hill City Oval, when they kick off their 2021 campaign against the Casey Demons on Sunday 18th April.
It will be the first time the Hawks have played at their home ground since August 2019, following the cancellation of the 2020 VFL season.
The round will also mark the commencement of the new eastern seaboard format, with teams from across New South Wales and Queensland to contest the VFL competition.
Box Hill's Round 1 clash marks as an exciting occasion for many reasons; it is Damian Mascitti's first official game as skipper since taking the reins nearly 12 months ago, as well as Sam Mitchell's first official game as Box Hill Senior Coach.
