Jon Ceglar was entrusted with the primary ruck duties in 2020. Despite a nagging toe injury saw him miss four games over the course of the season, Ceglar gave a strong account of himself this season. Of those players league-wide who featured at least five times across the home and away season, Ceglar ranked amongst the top dozen for average hit-outs, recording 21.1 per game. With the added time spent in the middle of the ground, Ceglar also saw his clearance work improve, posting a career-high three clearances per game this year which is especially impressive when you consider the decreased game-time.
