The dual All-Australian came to Hawthorn with a point to prove and despite a few hiccups throughout the season, he didn't disappoint. The 26-year-old missed a total of eight games due to a series of injury niggles but produced some of his best footy in his last seven games of the season, averaging 23 disposals and five tackles. His most impressive performance was against West Coast in Round 23, where he had 28 disposals and seven clearances, earning him a spot in the AFL Team of the Week.
