McDonagh had a career-best season in 2025, taking home the Hawthorn Best and Fairest and her maiden All-Australian blazer. She finished the season as the Hawks leading goalkicker with a career-high 22 goals, she slotted multiple majors in seven games and was held goalless on just two occasions. The Irish product averaged 1.6 goals, 12.1 disposals, 5.4 score involvements, 2.4 tackles and 2.2 marks per game throughout her 2025 campaign.
