Hayley started playing football in 1997 within the VWFL. After finishing up in 2015, she moved into coaching in the SFNL. In 2017, Hayley was a match day coaching assistant for the Box Hill VFLW team in their inaugural year. She then moved into the role of Development Coach in 2018 for Hawthorn VFLW, before being assigned the role of Assistant Coach (Forward Line) in 2019

Hayley has served as a member of the School Sport Victoria AFL Sub-Committee as a Teacher Resource Coordinator and presented at the ACHPER conference in 2019. She completed her Level 2 Coaching Accreditation in 2019 and was also a part of the 2019/2020 She Can Coach program.

Outside of coaching, Hayley is a full time Primary School teacher. She is in her 11^th year at Mt Eliza Primary School and is currently in the role of Numeracy Learning Specialist.
