Aunty Joy Murphy Wandin AO is a Senior Wurundjeri Elder of the Kulin Nation and a highly respected cultural leader, educator and advocate. 

Aunty Joy has dedicated decades to advancing Aboriginal affairs, social justice, cultural understanding, land rights and reconciliation across government, community, education and the arts.

In 2006, Aunty Joy was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in recognition of her significant service to the community.

Aunty Joy has shared a longstanding relationship with Hawthorn, providing cultural guidance and conducting Welcome to Country ceremonies at significant Club events, and brings deep cultural knowledge, wisdom and connection to Wurundjeri Country to the Advisory Group.
