Season summary:

James Sicily hasn't played a game since his tragic ACL injury in August last year.

The 26-year-old was placed on Hawthorn's long-term injury list in early 2021 as he recovered from his knee reconstruction, with the club reluctant to take any risks with the talented backman.

While on the sidelines, Sicily has taken on somewhat of a mentor role, becoming involved in some of the club’s coaching, recruiting and list management.

Having progressed strongly though his rehabilitation during the last 12 months, the key defender will be ready to return in 2022 as one of the Hawks' most important players.
