Season summary:

In his first season in the brown and gold, Phillips averaged 18.5 disposals, and tallied 13 goals - the fifth-best of any Hawk in 2021.

Hawthorn secured Phillips for Pick 65 in 2020's busy trade period after the 25-year-old spent the last five seasons at Collingwood with 89 games to his name.

During 2021, Phillips drew on his development phase at the Pies to help transition him into a more senior position in the brown and gold.

The hard-running wingman boasted plenty of pace and endurance in the Hawks midfield, securing his spot for every game this season.

Phillips will be eyeing to produce more quality football in the 2022 season as he looks to notch up 100 career games.

Best AFL game:

Phillips' best game of the year came in Round 21 against his former side Collingwood when he collected 26 disposals and took eight marks.
