Season summary:

Moore shocked many as he took another massive step forward in his development to lift to another level in 2022 following his breakout season from a year ago.

Moore established himself as one of the most damaging small forwards in the league, with a growing capacity to push into the midfield and have impact.

The 23-year-old averaged 20.2 disposals, 5.6 marks and 1.2 goals per game, which saw him graded as “elite” comparative to his peers.

Best AFL game:

Moore’s best game came in Round 7 against Melbourne, as he collected a career-high 33 disposals, along with taking 11 marks and booting a goal in a narrow loss to the reigning premiers.

How the coaches saw him:

“Moorey continued to entrench himself as one of the competition's best small forwards with his huge work rate and pressure, while also being able to hit the scoreboard. He began to spend more time in the midfield as the year progressed and really added a dangerous element to our team structure with this role. This adds great versatility to his game and will ensure he remains an extremely hard opponent for opposition to match up on. He really grew his leadership capabilities this year and is emerging as a young leader within our younger players.” – David Hale
