With the 2022 season set to draw to close following the premiership decider this Saturday, the attention of the football world will shortly be drawn to some key off-season activity. 

The AFL exchange period will commence on Friday 30 September — six days after the AFL Grand Final — when the free agency window opens.

Hawthorn fans also have the club's best and fairest, the Peter Crimmins Medal, to look forward to on Saturday 1 October.

The AFLW Grand Final will take place on the weekend of 25-27 November before the national draft is held on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 November.
