Hawthorn has named an unchanged line-up ahead of the club’s Easter Monday clash against Geelong at the MCG.

The starting 22 which overcame North Melbourne in Round 3 will again be deployed to take on the reigning premiers who are seeking their first win of the 2023 season.

Last weekend’s substitute Lachlan Bramble is the sole “out” from the team, with the Hawks able to confirm that Chad Wingard will be the side’s substitute on Monday as he makes his return from a fortnight on the sidelines due to a calf complaint.

Head of Football Rob McCartney explained the Hawks’ upcoming fixture was the reason behind selecting Wingard as a substitute rather than a member of the starting 22.

“We’re really pleased to have Chad back into the side on Monday after a couple weeks out,” McCartney said.

“Given we have a six-day break into Gather Round in Adelaide, we’ve opted to have Chad as our sub this week to ensure his availability for both games.

“His presence in our side adds experience, leadership as well as his obvious talent that can help to shift the course of a game so his return gives us a big boost.”

Hawthorn will also be hosting its annual Easter Open Training session on Sunday at Bunjil Bagora (Waverley Park), starting at 10am. The club encourages members and fans to come down and support the players ahead of their clash with the Cats, whilst also enjoying the Easter egg hunts, a visit from Hawka and Hawkette, giveaways, and sponsor activations including a Nissan colouring in wall.

The game will begin at 3.20pm and will be televised live on SEVEN, Fox Footy and Kayo.
