The Box Hill Hawks have made two changes ahead of Sunday’s round 10 match-up with Essendon at The Hangar.

This means Zane Littlejohn will go into the contest with a relatively settled line-up for the first time this season. For context, through seven matches this term the Hawks have made at least four changes to the side which took the field the previous week. As if to illustrate how delicate a juggling act team selection can be, Littlejohn and his match committee have made seven changes on no fewer than three occasions.

Into the side comes Harry Morrison and mid-season draft hopeful Clay Tucker for his state league debut.

The 204cm Tucker will take his place in the line-up alongside Ryan Maric and Ethan Stanley, meaning a trio of highly regarded young draft prospects will don the brown and gold in one final hit-out ahead of Wednesday’s draft.

Morrison is listed among Hawthorn’s emergencies for their match against the Saints on Saturday afternoon alongside Fergus Greene, Bailey Macdonald and Connor Macdonald.

Live-wire small forward Jack O’Sullivan will miss the match with a niggle, while Jaylon Thorpe has been ruled out with a knock of his own.

Thorpe, who is the Hawks’ leading goal kicker through nine rounds, will be assessed over the coming week.

Box Hill's final team will be confirmed prior to Sunday’s first bounce, which is scheduled for 1:05pm.
