Hawthorn midfielder Will Day has polled 10 coaches' votes for his dominant performance in his side's six-point win over GWS on Saturday afternoon at University of Tasmania Stadium.

The 23-year-old recorded team-highs in disposals (26) and tackles (10) to complement his 12 contested possessions, six score involvements and four clearances.

He was joined in the votes by Josh Weddle (six votes), James Sicily (three votes), Massimo D'Ambrosio (two votes) and Mabior Chol (one vote).

Weddle was simply everywhere for the Hawks in Launceston, starting the day in defence before moving into the forward line and also competing in ruck contests after Ned Reeves was subbed out late in the game.

He finished the match with 17 disposals, five marks, five tackles, five hit-outs and a goal.

Sicily stood tall in defence with 22 disposals, six marks, five rebound 50s and 569 metres gained.

D'Ambrosio solidified his status as the league's number one winger with 23 disposals, seven score involvements and six marks.

Further up the ground, Chol impressed with his forward pressure, totalling 10 disposals and six marks to go with his two majors.
