James Worpel has been named the Round 9 Superhero of the Week for an impressive performance against Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

The midfield star racked up an equal game-high 28 disposals and a team-high 15 contested possessions.

He was instrumental across the ground with a game-high 10 tackles and seven score involvements.

Through the centre, he shone with six clearances and an equal game-high three centre clearances.

Worpel and the Hawks head north for Round 10 to take on Gold Coast in Darwin.
