In one of his favourite rounds of the year, Noonuccal man Karl Amon received coaches' votes for his performance in Hawthorn's eight-point loss against Gold Coast on Thursday night. 

The Hawks defender received two votes for his one goal, team-high 30 disposals, team-high 884 metres gained, six intercept possessions and six score involvements in Darwin.

Midfielder Jai Newcombe was the other Hawk who received recognition from the coaches, polling three votes on the night. 

The 23-year-old finished the match with one major, 29 disposals, eight tackles, seven score involvements, five marks and four clearances.
