Hawthorn Chief Executive Officer Ash Klein said that the club’s AFLW fixture features some exciting matchups for the brown and gold.
“We’re looking forward to starting our season against a quality opposition in the Brisbane Lions, who narrowly beat us in last year’s finals series, but certainly a great challenge to begin our 2025 campaign,” Klein said.
“While the finishing touches are being made to our future home the Kennedy Community Centre, we are thrilled to be hosting games in front of our Frankston faithful who have been such a great support for us since our very first season.
“Our first home game of the season will again be against Carlton, hosting a game under lights at Kinetic Stadium in Round 2, which serves as the perfect first opportunity for our local fans to get down and watch the team.
“Then our home game in Cairns comes early in the season, taking on St Kilda in Round 4. We can’t wait to get back to Cazalys Stadium, which always provides such great support for us, creating an amazing atmosphere from the footy-loving region.
“We have some exciting clashes scheduled both at home and away in Victoria against the likes of Adelaide, Geelong, Fremantle, Essendon and North Melbourne, so there is ample opportunity to support our AFLW Hawks.
“We cannot wait for the season to begin and we encourage anyone who hasn’t yet signed up to be an AFLW member to do so to ensure you don’t miss a moment of the action!”
Hawthorn fans can show their support for the AFLW season by signing up for a Hawks AFLW membership, which are in high demand after the club reached its all-time membership record earlier this month. The club thanks its loyal existing AFLW members for their support each and every year.
