Following the club's special 24-hour fundraiser last month, the club is now closing in on the final stages of works at the Kennedy Community Centre in Dingley.
From a construction perspective, we have now achieved 90% completion of the total project. The club remains on track for its move to Dingley later this year, with an exact move date to be determined.
Within the Harris High Performance Centre, the building is now fully energised with the final floor finishes and joinery being installed. Additionally, the main entrance reception joinery and floor tiling is nearly complete. The 100-seat theatre, which will be used by our football programs, staff, museum patrons and community groups for various meetings and functions, is complete. The final cleaning of the indoor training hall is now being undertaken before the turf is laid down in place. While the 25m pool within the aquatic zone will soon be filled for the first time for balancing and commissioning.
Over at the Community Pavillion, the grandstand seating is beginning to take shape with the almost 500 seats (brown and gold!) now installed, and the function space and connecting public concourse to external access ramp works, are also nearing completion.
