First year Hawk Daisy Flockart has been named to make her AFLW debut this Thursday night against Fremantle at Kinetic Stadium.
The 19-year-old will become Hawthorn’s fourth debutant in 2025, following in the footsteps of fellow draftees Lavinia Cox, Grace Baba and Elli Symonds.
Flockart joined the Hawks with Pick 23 in the 2024 National Draft from the Sandringham Dragons.
The tall and versatile utility impressed as a midfielder and forward in her draft year, before appearing in the Hawks match simulation against Melbourne in the 2025 preseason, as well as making her Box Hill Hawks debut in Round 14 of the VFLW.
Hawthorn General Manager of Football Operations Max Bailey congratulated Flockart on her debut.
“We’re excited for Daisy to get her opportunity and make her debut this week,” Bailey said.
“Daisy has worked tirelessly since arriving at the club and she brings a great energy, as well as a determined and physical presence to the football field, which Hawks fans are bound to see on Thursday night and hopefully long into her future in the brown and gold.
“We look forward to seeing Daisy run out onto Kinetic Stadium on Thursday night.”
Hawthorn will announce its full Round 8 team tomorrow at 6.20pm.
