Hawthorn defender Laura Elliott will line up for her 50th game when the Hawks host Essendon at the Kennedy Community Centre on Sunday at 3.05pm.

Drafted with Pick 26 in the 2022 national draft, Elliott becomes the sixth Hawk to play 50 games for the club, following Tamara Smith (Round 5), Aine McDonagh (Round 6), Jas Fleming (Round 8), Lucy Wales (Round 9) and Jenna Richardson (Round 10).

Thirty-three of her 49 matches so far have been consecutive, highlighting her durability across her five AFLW seasons.

This year, the 21-year-old is averaging 14.1 disposals, 292.1 metres gained, 5.2 rebound 50s (ranked top 10 in the league) and 4.7 intercept possessions per match.

Given her form, Elliott could be in the mix for back-to-back Hawks top-10 Best and Fairest finishes, following her ninth-place finish in 2025.

The brown and gold faithful are encouraged to get around Elliott in her milestone match at the Kennedy Community Centre on Sunday.

It is also the last chance for Hawthorn fans to see their team at their new home for the home-and-away season, so don’t miss it!
