Hawthorn has farewelled Jai Serong after he was traded to the Sydney Swans on the final day of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period.
The deal sees Serong and a future fourth-round selection (tied to Hawthorn) (2026) depart the club in exchange for the Swans’ future third-round selection (2026).
Serong, who was Pick 53 in the 2021 National Draft, totalled 10 games for Hawthorn across four seasons.
National Recruiting and List Manager Mark McKenzie thanked Serong for his service to Hawthorn.
“We’d like to acknowledge Jai for his contribution to our club during his four seasons in the brown and gold,” McKenzie said.
“Jai’s professionalism and dedication was always at the forefront of everything he did, and we’d like to wish him well in his future endeavours.
“Again, we’re really pleased to strengthen our draft hand as part of this deal as we near the end of the trade period.”
