The Hawks Community Foundation has unveiled its 2025 Community Impact Report, detailing the outstanding and important work by the foundation’s Hawks For All, Tyetdji and Inclusion Project programs. 

More than 25,000 participants were supported by world-class programs in a record-breaking year for the Hawks Community Foundation, providing a springboard for even further growth in the coming years. 

In partnership with the Foundation’s loyal partners and donors, the programs have developed further opportunities for engagement, inclusion, equality and diversity, whilst fostering a culture of collaboration and highlighting sport as a vehicle to facilitate sustainable social and cultural change.

Hawks Community Foundation Chair Maria Lui said:

Hawks For All 

Hawks For All is an inclusion-based program that celebrates ability, builds inclusion and breaks down barriers to belonging. Hawks For All ensures every individual has the opportunity to thrive. Through inclusive education, community sport and resilience programs, we are levelling the playing field for all.

Average contact hours per participant: 249.25 
Number of sessions/ events delivered: 424 
Number of partners worked with: 50 
Number of program hours delivered: 4,726

The Inclusion Project 

The Inclusion Project was developed to create more accessible events that accommodate the needs of those living with a hidden disability. This involves employing staff with lived experience of disability in customer service roles at events, training existing staff in disability awareness and providing Sensory Friendly Spaces facilitated by Occupational Therapists. By fostering a supportive environment and implementing practical measures, this program not only enhances employment opportunities for individuals living with disabilities but also ensures more inclusive and accessible experiences for all attendees.

Tyetdji 

The Hawks Community Foundation’s Tyetdji program, meaning ‘brown Hawk’ in Gunnai language, closes the Gap in Indigenous health, education and employment through co-designing impactful programs with First Nations communities.
