Hawthorn Co-Captain Jai Newcombe headlined six Hawks to poll coaches votes in the 40-point win over the Western Bulldogs in Round 5.
Newcombe was instrumental through the Hawks midfield, earning himself a perfect 10 votes for his Gather Round performance.
The skipper collected an equal game-high 28 disposals (19 contested), as well as a career and game-high 14 clearances, four tackles, and a goal.

Jack Ginnivan was next best in brown and gold with seven votes. Ginnivan finished with an equal game-high 28 disposals, a game-high 10 score involvements, including give goal assists and a goal of his own.
Dynamic defender Josh Battle collected three votes for his 23 disposals, 13 marks, seven intercept possessions and four contested marks.
Next was Blake Hardwick who polled two votes for his 25 disposals, 10 marks, seven intercept possessions and six tackles at Adelaide Oval.
Forward Mitch Lewis also received one vote thanks to an equal game-high three goals, 10 marks, 18 disposals and seven score involvements.
Every week, the two senior coaches for each game give votes on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis, meaning 10 votes is the maximum a player can get in each round.
The player with the most votes at the end of the home and away season will win the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award.
