Since his move to the defensive end, James Sicily has taken to life as a backman like a duck to water.

Having played the majority of the previous two years in defence, the 24-year-old’s ability to intercept opposition plays complemented by his ability to dispose efficiently has made him a defensive revelation for the Hawks.

As good as Sicily’s efforts were in 2018, a year in which, had he not been held out of the final six rounds with injury he may have earned his maiden All Australian, the defender took his game to a new level on Saturday.

Heading into season 2019, James Sicily’s highest tally of rebound 50s was nine.

One game into the new campaign, his PB is now 15.

Sicily’s 15 rebound 50s was a monumental effort – eight more than Blake Hardwick, his next highest teammate, and nine more than the number one Crow David Mackay.

But as well as setting a clear game-high number, it also matched Luke Hodge’s game in Round 20 2006 against Essendon where he became the Hawk with the highest ever rebound 50 number ever recorded.

This got us thinking, how well do you think you know the leading Hawks in various statistical categories?
