Defeated Collingwood by 4 points

Despite trailing Collingwood for the majority of the game, the Hawks were in front when it mattered, defeating the Pies by four points in a Friday night thriller.
The win was a perfect way to celebrate Luke Breust and Ben McEvoy’s 200th games, with Breust kicking the Hawks’ final goal of the game to put the win out of reach of the Magpies.
Mitch Lewis played the best game of his short career in the brown and gold kicking two goals, collecting 16 disposals and taking an impressive seven marks of which three were contested.
Sicily returned to the backline where he looked at home in a best on ground performance with 28 disposals at 93 per cent disposal efficiency and seven rebound 50s.

Defeated Geelong by 10 points
Ladder position: 6th
Box Hill came from behind to steal the win against Geelong on Saturday afternoon at Box Hill City Oval.
Despite the Hawks leading by 18 points at three-quarter-time the Cats kicked four straight goals at the start of the final term to take the lead.
At the 29th minute mark of the final quarter, Nathan Boucher kicked a goal to put the Hawks back in front and a further goal to Jackson Ross secured the victory.
Jonathon Celgar was outstanding for the Hawks. The big man had 48 hit outs against quality opponents in Zac Smith and Ryan Abbott, along with a game-high 24 disposals and kicked a goal.
The Hawks had 11 individual goal kickers including Jarryd Roughead who also took a huge specky on the day.
James Cousins (22 disposals), Harry Jones (21) and Harry Morrison (20) continued their good form in recent weeks and Grant Birchall made it through another game unscathed.

Lost to Geelong by 7 points

A grand final rematch between Hawthorn and Geelong took place at Box Hill City Oval on Saturday morning.
The Hawks came out firing kicking the first two goals of the match, one through captain Tamara Luke and the other through midfielder Rosie Dillon.
However, the Cats came back in the second quarter kicking two goals of their own, giving them a one-point lead at the main break.
Clare O’Donnell kicked the Hawks third goal but the Cats added two of their own to take the win by seven points.
Rosie Dillon (24 disposals) and Rebecca Beeson (25) were best on ground for the Hawks and Luke took an impressive nine marks.
Netball

Under 19 ladder position: 7th
Hawks Netball went agonisingly close to a hat-trick of wins last Wednesday when they came up against Melbourne University Lightning in Round 15 of the Victorian Netball League.
The club’s Championship division side had a thrilling 52-52 draw, the Division 1 side ensured their place in finals with a five-goal win and the Under 19 side had their biggest win of the season defeating the Lightning by 30 goals.
The Hawks’ Under 19 side can still make finals if they win the remaining three games of the season.

As the VWFL is played fortnightly, there were no matches this week. Hawthorn will play Richmond this Sunday in Round 6.

Hawthorn's blind team made history when they played their first ever game on Saturday morning.
The club's number one recruit Cebby Johnson lined up at full forward, but it was a hard day at the office for the Hawks.
They came up against the Bulldogs who proved too strong, winning in convincing fashion.
