Improving Lewis

We know we spoke about him last week, but it’s hard to avoid talking about Mitch Lewis after another good performance on the weekend. The tall forward was the leading goal kicker for the brown and gold and is beginning to look very comfortable as our tall target up forward. One effort that opitimises Lewis’ newly found confidence was in the third term when the ball was kicked deep inside 50 and Lewis had to out-mark three Dockers defenders. Lewis did it with ease and slotted the goal. Lewis looks to be improving each week.

Finals?

Just two weeks ago our loss to West Coast meant we were sitting in 15th position on the ladder. It looked like our season would end prior to September. Since then the Hawks have put together two impressive performances against Collingwood and Fremantle. We now sit 11th on the ladder, just two wins outside the top eight. Sure, some results would have to fall our way but finals are definitely not out of the question.
