Hawthorn young guns Laura Elliott, Jas Fleming, and Laura Stone have been named in the 2026 AFL Players’ Association 22Under22 squad.

Fleming adds another nomination to her resume, after being selected in the final 22Under22 team on three previous occasions (Season 7, 2022, 2024 and 2025), while Elliott and Stone have both been named in the squad for the first time off the back of their respective strong 2026 campaigns.
Fleming has continued to play a vital role in Hawks' engine room in 2026, averaging 17.3 disposals, 12.8 kicks, 3.8 tackles, and two clearances across her 11 matches. The 22-year-old midfielder produced her standout game of the season in Round 6 against North Melbourne, amassing 25 disposals, 20 kicks, five marks and four clearances.
Elliott has enjoyed a career-best campaign to date, holding down the Hawks' defensive half and playing all possible games this season. Across her 12 games, she has averaged 14.1 disposals, five intercept possessions, 2.2 marks and 292.7 metres gained per outing. The 22-year-old defender had a dominant showing in Round 7 against the Geelong Cats, racking up with 20 disposals, 19 kicks, and a mammoth 629 metres gained.
At just 20 years old, Stone has highlighted her versatility through the midfield in 2026, averaging 12.4 disposals, 7.9 kicks, 4.7 tackles, and 2.2 clearances from 11 appearances. Her best performance of the season came in Round 11 against Essendon, where she registered season highs across the board with 19 disposals, seven tackles, and five clearances.
Voting is now open and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on Thursday November 12, with the final team to be announced at 12pm AEDT on Wednesday November 19 via the AFL Players’ Association’s social media channels.
