A destructive seven-goal final term has driven Box Hill to an 18-point victory over a hostile Frankston on Sunday afternoon.

Marco Bello has given his impression of the 16 AFL-listed Hawks' performance in the VFL on Sunday.

Harry Jones (24 disposals, 1 mark, 12 tackles)

"Harry started really well, he had nine possessions in the first quarter along with four clearances and five tackles. He was really good for us against a Frankston side that came out hungry and aggressive and seemed intent on hunting the footy early on. I thought Harry was one that could hold his head up high. He played the second half under duress and finished the game really strongly. Unfortunately it looks like he has sustained an injury but from what we have seen from his career in his year and a half here, we expect big things." MB

James Cousins (25 disposals, 3 marks, 3 tackles, 2 goals)

"Not too dissimilar to Harry, Cousins started really well, being really aggressive and strong in the clearances. It was pleasing for him also that when he went forward, he hit the scoreboard with two goals. They were really important for us, giving us the lead at the midway point of the last quarter." MB

Marc Pittonet (21 disposals, 6 tackles, 53 hit-outs, 1 goal)

"Pittonet was a goliath - he was really strong inside the contest. Not only did he get his hands on it, but his repeat efforts with 10 clearances as well. He was able to get first hands for our mids, which was really influential." MB

Kaiden Brand (15 disposals, 7 marks)

"Kaiden Brand intercepted seven marks off the opposition's boot across the half-back line. He played the conditions really well, setting himself up to rebound the footy high up the ground. He also used the ball well going inside 50, setting up multiple goals." MB

Conor Glass (15 disposals, 3 marks, 4 tackles)

"Conor Glass played a selfless role across multiple roles - playing inside, on the wing and also across half-back and half-forward. He was really effective for us across all three lines and he was able to impact when the game was hot." MB

Teia Miles (15 disposals, 3 marks, 1 tackle, 2 goals)

"Teia Miles, as a half-back, scored two goals. His defensive efforts were also really strong for us as well as his positioning." MB

Will Golds (14 disposals, 2 marks, 2 goals)

"He had to play multiple roles as well. He hit the scoreboard with two goals. He was really effective for us against the breeze with his ability to run. It was great to see him continue his rich vein of form." MB

Darren Minchington (12 disposals, 1 mark, 6 tackles)

"Darren was very energetic and whilst his stats don't show he had a whole heap of it, he was very effective with his disposals. He worked hard up and down the ground to allow us to move the ball well." MB

David Mirra (14 disposals, 5 marks, 4 tackles, 1 goal)

"David was being tagged by an opposition forward, knowing the effect that David can have across the game. They curtailed him at times but he stood up when we needed him most. He lead from the front." MB

Damon Greaves (12 disposals, 1 mark, 3 tackles)

"He was again in that role between the wing and half-forward. As a first-year player, he has a wise head. He uses the football really well and he plays his role really well too. He continues to get better each week." MB

Jarryd Roughead (11 disposals, 5 tackles, 1 goal)

"Roughy had four shots on goal and could have quite easily finished with a bigger bag than he did. He came away with 1.3 from his 11 disposals. He played a bit of ruck and through the midfield as well as forward, but he was really important for us across all lines." MB

Mat Walker (11 disposals, 3 tackles, 1 goal)

"Matty shows some real glimpses at times for being able to impact the contest both in the air and on the ground. He finished with 1.1, but similar to other forwards, his ability to fight through the adversity of the game was impressive." MB

Changkuoth Jiath (10 disposals, 2 marks, 2 tackles)

"It was CJ's first game back for the last couple of weeks. Although the stats show he only had the 10 disposals, he was able to impact in the air really well. We're looking forward to him getting some continuity through the back end of the year." MB

Jacob Koschitzke (8 disposals, 2 tackles, 2 goals)

"Kozzy was a swingman. He was able to play across half-back against the breeze and then go forward when we were with it. He finished with two goals and he was really influential for us." MB

Ned Reeves (2 disposals, 1 mark, 3 hit-outs)

"It was a difficult day for talls given conditions. Pitto took the majority of the ruck duty, leaving Reevesy forward for most of the day. He will learn from the weekend's game." MB
