It’s impressive company that Worpel keeps as he approaches the end of just his second season in the AFL.

Worpel’s 2019 campaign has gone from strength to strength.

The 20-year-old is one of just six Hawks to play every game this year, an impressive feat on its own given his age.

But it has also been the midfielder’s consistency that has blown his teammates and his coaches away.

He has dropped below 20 disposals in just one of his 21 appearances this season and has failed to register double-digit contested possession numbers on just three occasions.

He simply isn’t slowing down.

His six 30-possession games this year have all come within the last 10 games, with five of those in the last six weeks.

The Hawks number five recorded multiple career-highs in the win over Gold Coast including his 20 contested possessions, 13 clearances and two goals.

Hawks fans are just enjoying the chance to sit back and watch this youngster grow before their eyes.
