Hawthorn has selected exciting half-forward / midfielder Max Beattie with Pick 12 in the 2026 AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

Representing Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL this year, the 22-year-old has kicked 12 goals from his seven appearances, in addition to averaging 22.9 disposals at 89 per cent efficiency, 5.1 marks and 4.6 tackles per match.

He celebrated his 50th SANFL match in style earlier this year, bagging five goals to complement his 30 disposals, eight marks, six inside 50s and four clearances.
