Hawthorn's Victorian Wheelchair Football League Championship Division team will aim to win its second premiership when it takes on Essendon at La Trobe University on Saturday afternoon from 2pm. 

The Hawks finished third on the ladder with five wins and three losses, while the Bombers ranked second, also with five wins and three losses. 

Star Hawk Yassin Hill topped the league's goalscoring with a whopping 78 majors from nine games.

Finn Broadbent also scored 44 goals from seven appearances to rank in the league's top 10. 

In defence, reigning Best and Fairest winner Hayden Auber is having another stellar season.

The Grand Final appearance comes after the Hawks defeated one of the strongest VWFL teams, Richmond, in last week's Preliminary Final by 17 points. 

Broadbent starred with six goals while Hill scored four to secure a spot in the 2026 Championship Division Grand Final. 

Hawthorn last won the Victorian Wheelchair Football League premiership in 2023, led by Captain Joanna Argaet and Player of the Final, Hill. 

The Hawks' Community Division team finished fourth this season with one win and six losses.
