Hawthorn defender Noah Mraz is inching closer to a return following his kidney injury suffered in Round 20.

The 20-year-old is on track to be available for selection during Box Hill's first week of finals, which coincides with the AFL's Wildcard Round.

Flynn Perez is also one week away from returning from a groin injury, while Cody Anderson has been added to the list after suffering a hamstring injury.

High Performance Manager Peter Burge provided an update on each player below.

Noah Mraz - Kidney (1 week)

"He's going to rejoin the main group this week for training. He will do some contact work separate to the group, but yeah, progressing really well back into training this week and we'll look to be into full training next week and playing in the VFL first final."

Flynn Perez - Groin (1 week)

"He's on a similar timeline to Noah. So, he will return to some training this week, and we'll progress him back into full training next week. We're looking to play him as well in the qualifying final versus Werribee in the VFL."

Cody Anderson - Hamstring (TBC)

"Yeah, really unfortunate. He had an incident in the game, he was running and had a lunging incident, and then felt his hamstring. It's quite a significant injury. He's going to miss a number of weeks. It's hard to put a timeline on it at this stage, but he certainly won't be playing in the first week of finals for VFL. We'll update as we progress, and usually with these things it's how they move in the first week and how quickly they can progress back to jogging and being mobile. That generally tells us what the end timeline is going to look like."
