Hawthorn is set for its first interstate trip of the 2026 season, bound for South Australia to take on Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval.
The Round 2 clash marks the fifth matchup between the two sides, with the scorecard currently reading two wins each. The Power have won the two most recent matchups, which came in Round 10 at Alberton Oval last season and in a Semi Final at IKON Park in 2024.
Last weekend’s matches saw Hawthorn go down by 19 points to Melbourne in Round 1, while Port Adelaide secured a 21-point victory over Fremantle.

Hawthorn (59) defeated by Port Adelaide (94) in Round 10, 2025.
The Hawks went down by 35-points to Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval.
The Power skipped out to a 35-point lead in the third term before the resurgent Hawks brought the margin back to 13 points at three-quarter time.
The Hawks suffered a blow before the first bounce, with ruck Lucy Wales ruled out with appendicitis that ended her 2025 season. The Hawks’ ruck load was shouldered by Mackenzie Eardley, Jess Vukic and first-year Hawks Elli Symonds.
Áine McDonagh was the most dangerous in attack for Hawthorn with three goals, while fellow Irish player Aileen Giloy slotted two, with Hayley McLaughlin, Jasmine Fleming and Greta Bodey all booting one.
Eliza West led allcomers with 28 disposals for the game, while youngsters Daisy Flockart (16 disposals, five clearances, five tackles) and Laura Stone (15 disposals, six tackles and four clearances) played their role.
