Hawthorn will host its first ever game at the Kennedy Community Centre this Sunday against the Adelaide Crows.

For the first time since 1973 at Glenferrie Oval, the Hawks will play a game at its home base, marking a homecoming for the AFLW side and the club.

The Hawks will look to extend its win streak after two wins over Port Adelaide and Collingwood, in what would be a historic first win over the Crows in AFLW.

The Crows managed their first win of the season last weekend, by 17 points over West Coast at home.

In added celebration for Hawthorn, Captain Emily Bates will run our for her 100th AFLW game.

Hawthorn (27) defeated by Adelaide (48) in Round 5, 2025.

Adelaide has handed Hawthorn its first loss of the season with a 21-point victory at Kinetic Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Lucy Wales was one of the Hawks more dominate players on the ground, finishing with a game-high 26 hitouts, 19 disposals and six clearances. While Eliza West had 22 disposals and laid nine tackles.

The Hawks had four individual goal scorers in Greta Bodey, Aine McDonagh and Laura Stone plus Elli Symonds, in what was her first goal at the level.

What’s On

It's a Hawthorn homecoming!

Gates to the Kennedy Community Centre open from 11am, with an all girls superkick clinic to kick off the day at 11.30am. The Hawks will run onto the field from 12.51pm, with the game set to kick of at 1.05pm. Quarter time sees the Nature Valley kicking competition and at three-quarter time the KFC bucket challenge before boundary club and kick-to-kick post-match.

You can collect your game day guide or free ‘My favourite sport is women’s footy’ t-shirt from the Hawks info desk. Plus, if it’s your first ever AFLW a special gift is yours to collect!

Aside from the footy, there will be aero bounce bungy trampolines, face painting, food trucks, plus giveaways and activities around the grounds.

The HawksNest store will be open in the Harris High Performance Building as well as a pop up shop behind the goals.

Getting to the game

There are a variety of different options available for anyone who is travelling to our Hawks games in Dingley Village to make it easy to enjoy the game.

Public Transport

🟤 Take the Pakenham or Cranbourne line train to Springvale Station.

🟡 Catch the Route 811 bus (Dandenong - Brighton via Springvale) from the station.

🟤 Disembark along Tootal Road / McClure Road, which drops you near the entrance to the Kennedy Community Centre.

Alternative Bus Routes: Route 811 also runs through Mentone, Springvale, and Dandenong, connecting with Mentone Station (Frankston Line) and Dandenong Station.

By Car

For AFLW matches, on-site parking fills quickly. Event staff manage entry and overflow parking areas, but using public transport or rideshare may be more convenient for big fixtures.
