Hawthorn defender Casey Sherriff is set to play her 75th AFLW match on Thursday night when the Hawks take on Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.

Sherriff was initially recruited by Melbourne from the Casey Demons as a replacement player before making her AFLW debut in Round 1 of the 2020 season.

After 48 games and six seasons with the Demons, including playing a key role in their 2022 (season 7) premiership, Sherriff made the move to Hawthorn ahead of the 2024 season.

Now into her third season at the Hawks, the 28-year-old has played 36 games in the brown and gold (the club she grew up supporting), showcasing her running power and versatility.
