Laura Stone and Greta Bodey are both on track to be available for Thursday night’s Round 7 clash.
High Performance Manager Aaron Kellett provided an update on the expectations for the pair as they finalise their return to play after suffering concussions.
He also detailed the progress Hannah Looney and Matilda Van Berkel have made in their respective rehab.
Laura Stone and Greta Bodey (Concussion) – Test
“Both are at the end stage of that return-to-play protocol. They trained fully today, full contact, and got through really well. We'll need to see how they respond to that training session over the next 24 hours as part of that mandatory protocol. But we assume, pending clearance there, they'll be available for selection this week.”
Hannah Looney (Hamstring) – TBC
“Yeah, really big progression for Hannah. She's back, she started her running progressions today, back doing some drills, some straight-line strides. So, has responded really well post-surgery, it's great to see her back out on the field and back running again.”
Matilda Van Berkel (Foot) – Season
“It was a big step for her, Tilly was back with some boost running today. She's been doing her return-to-run, early-stage progressions and, you know, calf strengthening. Her range-of-motion stuff's becoming really positive, but yeah, really awesome. We got a group around Tilly to see her, you know, take a big step in her return to play with her first run.”
