Hawthorn has worked with Melbourne in a trade for defender Bodie Ryan on the final day of the 2026 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period. 

The 21-year-old was delisted by the Hawks last month after joining the club in 2023 and suiting up for five senior games. 

Hawthorn National Recruiting & List Manager Mark McKenzie said:
