Jonathon Ceglar was a highlight for the Hawks against Richmond on Sunday.

Ceglar recorded a career-high 26 disposals, with his 15 contested possessions underlining the workman-like nature of his performance.

The ruck-forward was the game’s biggest aerial presence on Sunday with a match-high four contested marks, with his strong hands especially outstanding in the opening term.

His five clearances are on the day were only bested by Jaeger O’Meara’s eight, further testament to a complete effort from the 204cm Hawk.

With fellow big man Ben McEvoy set to be out of the side for at least the next month, Ceglar’s form will be leaned on even further as the Hawks navigate through the middle part of the season.

Hawthorn fans will be watching closely this week to see if Alastair Clarkson opts for Ceglar to shoulder the ruck burden by himself or bring in Marc Pittonet who has been impressive at VFL level this year.
