Hawthorn is set to welcome back a host of senior players to the side that takes on Richmond this Saturday night.

Having fielded a youthful squad for their first JLT Series game against Brisbane, the Hawks will now ramp up its campaign preparations with the addition of multiple experienced bodies into the line-up.

Newly-appointed captain Ben Stratton will likely lead the side for the first time alongside new leaders Jaeger O’Meara and Ben McEvoy.

Elder statesmen Shaun Burgoyne and Jarryd Roughead will also look to kickstart their 18th and 15th seasons respectively.

On an injury front, Jack Gunston (ITB friction) will be hoping to prove his fitness ahead of the Tigers encounter, as will James Worpel (leg) and David Mirra (ankle) after the pair pulled up sore from JLT1.

The game against Brisbane allowed several youngsters to push their case for another opportunity in the final JLT hit out.

The clash with the Tigers will take place at UTAS Stadium at 7.10pm on Saturday, with members of both clubs granted free entry.
