James Sicily has finished the 2019 season with the most coaches’ votes of any of his Hawthorn teammates.
Finishing with 49 votes to his name, the defender, who was named in the All Australian squad of 40 on Monday, polled consistently throughout the year, earning votes in nine of 22 appearances including two 10-vote outings.
Midfielders Ricky Henderson and James Worpel shared the spoils for equal second place with 45 votes apiece.
Impressively, Henderson earned 15 of his 45 votes in Hawthorn losses.

Jaeger O’Meara (33 votes), Liam Shiels (31) and Ben McEvoy (23) headed a strong peloton, with a total of 21 players polling votes across the season.
Fast starter: Ricky Henderson
Henderson earned 13 votes in the first five weeks of the 2019 season, polling in four of opening five rounds. The former Crow averaged 27.2 touches and 1.2 goals over this period
Fast finisher: James Worpel
At the start of Round 17, James Worpel had been given just 10 coaches’ votes for his efforts to that point in the season, all of which came in the Hawks’ Round 1 win over Adelaide. But the second-year midfielder was on the cusp of an insane purple patch in which he polled 35 of his year’s 45 votes across the final seven games of the season. Worpel featured in the votes in five of the last seven games of 2019.
