Hawks half back Jayde Van Dyk has won Hawthorn’s 2018 VFLW Best and Fairest award after an outstanding season.

Already recognised as the league’s Rising Star award, the back pocket of the VFLW Team of the Year and a member of the 2018 premiership side, the best and fairest is the icing on top of Van Dyk’s already-illustrious 2018 season.

Polling 63 votes, the 22-year-old finished 10 votes ahead of runner-up Rebecca Beeson (53), with Meg Hutchins (49) rounding out the top three.

The count saw an exciting finish with four players within seven votes of Hutchins’ final tally of 49.
