Hawthorn welcomed key-position pair Sam Frost and Jonathon Patton to the brown and gold fold in the recent trade period.

Although Frost came most recently from Melbourne, the 26-year-old spent the first three years of his career at the Giants alongside Patton.

Across those three seasons, the duo lined up together in 16 senior appearances. 

Although their record across this time may have left a little to be desired – logging a four-win and 12-loss ratio.

The incoming twin towers will have another familiar face to lean on come day one of pre-season in the form of Tom Scully.

Scully played 17 games alongside Frost and 59 with Patton across his seven years in Sydney.

As a trio, this former Giant group has played 14 games together throughout the 2012, 2013 and 2014 seasons.
