Hawthorn VFLW will kick off its 2020 campaign against North Melbourne on May 10.

Following a 2019 season in which the Hawks narrowly missed a second consecutive finals appearance, the squad will be determined to start its year off on the right foot.

The season opener will be an important occasion for North Melbourne in their inaugural season as part of the league.

It will also be the first time newly-appointed coach Bec Goddard will take the reigns of the brown and gold.

The fixture will see the Hawks play 11 Saturday games and three Sunday games.

The side’s first home game will be on May 16 when it takes on Williamstown at Box Hill City Oval.

The Hawks bye rounds will come in Round 7 and Round 12.

Essendon, Williamstown and Darebin are the clubs the Hawks will face off against twice in the home and away season.
