Scans have confirmed the opinion of Club medical staff that Cyril Rioli suffered a hamstring strain during the third quarter of Hawthorn’s match against Sydney on Friday night.

The injury to his left leg is expected to sideline Rioli for 3-4 weeks.

Hawthorn GM – Football Operations Chris Fagan said Rioli is approaching his rehabilitation with a positive attitude.

“While Cyril is disappointed to be missing some footy, he remains in good spirits and is eager to get stuck into his rehab straight away with our medical staff,” Fagan said.
