Hawthorn’s Jordan Lewis has been reprimanded by the AFL Match Review Panel for attempting to strike Bomber, Nathan Lovett-Murray, in Sunday’s 63 point win over Essendon at the MCG.

Lewis will be available for selection this week, receiving 60 demerit points following a 25 percent deduction in points for accepting an early guilty plea.

The Hawks’ winger was charged following a review of the weekend’s game against old rivals Essendon, for a first quarter altercation with Lovett-Murray on the wing of the MCG.

In what was a hotly contested battle, the Hawks kept the Bombers goal-less in the final term, while the Hawks secured third spot on the AFL Ladder by percentage, with a six goals to zero final quarter.
