Hawthorn’s Ben McGlynn will contest the Level Three charge handed down by the AFL’s Match Review Panel for engaging in rough conduct against Port Adelaide’s Kane Cornes during the first quarter of the Round 8 match between Hawthorn and Port Adelaide.

McGlynn will plead guilty to the lesser conduct charge of negligent.

Meanwhile, Hawks veteran Shane Crawford has accepted the one match suspension handed out by the AFL’s Match Review Panel for a Level Two striking offence against Port Adelaide’s Dean Brogan.
