Jack Gunston had an outstanding season, culminating in him being named the 2020 Peter Crimmins Medallist.

Finishing third in the Coleman Medal race, Gunston kicked 31 goals on the season at a rate of 1.9 per game.

The Hawks only representative in this year’s All Australian squad of 40, the three-time prem

iership Hawk was the only player in the competition to record at least 30 goals and 30 inside 50s this year. 

Hitting the scoreboard in all bar two of his 16 appearances this year, Gunston coupled his maiden Peter Crimmins Medal with a Most Consistent award as well. 

Gunston ranked number one amongst key forwards league-wide for metres gained, averaging 236.2 m per outing in 2020. 

He also rated third amongst key forwards and fifth amongst all forwards for score involvements.

Consider he was playing in a side that won just five games for the year, 2020 was certainly a highlight of an already-illustrious career for Jack Gunston.
