It's been a long, tough trot for Hawthorn's VFLW team; they were nearing the end of a gruelling 2020 pre-season under new Coach Bec Goddard when the pandemic ended all hopes of getting a season underway.
But the lengthy hiatus made the squad even more hungry to get out there in the brown and gold when its new-look fixture begins in February.
Last night saw a return to the track, a reunion with their teammates, and lots of friendly new faces to welcome.
