Hawthorn Football Club is pleased to announce that Dylan Moore has officially re-joined the Hawks, with the club signing the 21-year-old as a rookie.

Under a new AFL policy, Hawthorn was able to retain Moore by moving him to its rookie list without needing to delist and then reselect Moore through the draft.

Hawthorn Chief of Football Graham Wright said the club was glad to retain Moore’s services for the 2021 season.

“We’re excited to be able to have Moorey remain with the club,” said Wright.

“His performances towards the end of 2020 season were impressive and he deserves the opportunity to continue his development here at Hawthorn.

“Moorey is a hardworking and diligent and he sets a great example in the way he goes about it.”

Collins' return to the brown and gold fold

Taken at Pick 67 in the 2017 national draft, 21-year-old Moore has made 10 senior appearances since his debut in Round 3 of the 2019 season.

Moore built momentum across his three senior appearances in the back end of the 2020 season which culminated in a career best performance against Gold Coast in Round 18.

After today’s announcement Moore becomes the 38th player signed to Hawthorn’s list.
