Jonathon Ceglar is set for a stint on the sidelines, after injuring his ankle in Box Hill’s Round 1 loss against Casey.

The ruckman left the ground early after injuring his ankle in a contest, with scans since revealing minor ligament damage.

“He came down awkwardly in a marking contest and was unable to play the game out,” Physical Performance Manager Luke Boyd explained.

“He’ll obviously miss this game, but over the next week or so we’ll get a bit of a better indication as to how much longer it’ll be.”

Jack Gunston won’t make the trip to Tasmania this weekend, however remains a strong chance to return to the line-up in Round 7, provided he gets through all remaining training sessions.

“Jack had a really good training week last week and we’re really happy with how he’s progressed,” Boyd said.

“He’s not quite going to be ready for the game this weekend, but he did get some really good run loads and really good skill volume out last week, which is really positive and important for his preparation.

“He’s got quite an important session later in the week… and that’ll give us an indication as to whether he’ll be available the following week.”
