A dominant five-goal performance has seen Jacob Koschitzke earn the Round 6 MVP.

Playing in just his fifth game of AFL football, Koschitzke recorded game-high tallies of goals (five), score involvements (11), marks (nine) and contested marks (three).

Koschitzke also took an incredible eight marks inside the Hawks' forward 50, which was not only a game-high but more than any other player across the league in Round 6.

The key forward was an influential force on the game from the very beginning, nailing three of his majors in the opening quarter.

His fourth and fifth goals came in an all-important third quarter, catapulting the Hawks into a dramatic comeback win.

Koschitzke's efforts highlight the incredible transformation his career has undergone over the past six months.

The 196cm athlete had struggled to make his mark at the club in his opening two seasons as a Hawk, unable to make his debut as he battled through a number of challenging injury setbacks.

But the Murray Bushranger product returned to pre-season training with a glint in his eye and has not looked back since, cementing his place as an important building block in the club's future.
